The Landings On Indian River, Michigan Rentals

Sand Dunes

Area Information

A series of inland lakes, rivers, channels, and locks all interconnect to form Michigan's Inland Waterway. Without ever taking your boat out of the water, you can row, paddle, or motor almost all the way across the state from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron. Three major lakes, Burt, Mullet, and Black Lake are connected by Indian River, Black River and Cheboygan River. To the west, Crooked Lake, Pickerel Lake and Hay Lake connect via Crooked River. This unique waterway is a popular destination for boating enthusiasts and a fisherman's paradise... and The Landings Resort and Marina is right in the middle of it!

Inland Waterway

The Landings is your headquarters for fun on the water. The fishing is great year round and summer boating is excellent. But the wisest fishermen will want to visit us in the spring and fall, when the fishing is best and less boat traffic makes our river and lakes a quiet, restful place to pursue trophy game fill, or full stringers of panfish. Many species of fish abound in local waters, including Walleye, Northern Pike, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, Lake Trout, Catfish, Yellow Perch, Crappie, Bluegill, Rock Bass. From the seasoned veteran in pursuit of a trophy Muskie, to the little ones content to catch a bucket full of sunfish, all our fishermen will be satisfied!

Other points of interest in Northern Michigan include Mackinac Island, historic Mill Creek, Fort Michilimackinac, the Cross In the Woods Shrine, Tahquamenon Falls, Black Mountain Recreation area, Sturgeon Bay, the Petoskey Gas Light Shopping District, as well as numerous golf courses and snowmobile trails.
